Emirates Flight Catering Company LLC and its subsidiaries, associates, and affiliated companies (collectively, “Emirates Flight Catering”) respect your privacy and are committed to processing your personal data in compliance with the applicable laws of your jurisdiction. We hereby notify you the following information about your personal data processing:

For Shortlisted candidates: Passport details, Details pertaining to background checks

Lawfulness, Fairness, and Transparency of Processing:

We process your Personal Data when it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are the party or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract or based on your consent as per applicable Data Privacy Laws. If you do not provide the required Personal Data that we need, we will not be able to provide our services to you. We process your Personal Data in the following circumstances:

To assist in the recruitment and selection
To communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
To perform background checks
To ensure compliance with applicable employment, labour, and other relevant laws and regulations.
To carry out various employment related activities if a candidate is selected to join the organization.

If we wish to use your personal data for a new purpose, not covered by this Notice, then we will provide you with a new notice explaining the updated use prior to commencing the processing and setting out the relevant purposes and processing conditions. Where and whenever necessary, we will seek your prior consent to the new processing, unless authorized by law.

Data Sharing, Access, and Disclosure:

Your Personal Data may be shared with and accessible to authorized recipients within Emirates Flight Catering and third parties as described below for the purposes of processing as outlined in this Notice:

Internal recipients within Emirates Flight Catering LLC., its subsidiaries, or internal departments/stakeholders such as Human Resources, Finance, IT, Operations, Hiring Mangers, Units/Organization Leadership.
Emirates Flight Catering authorized service providers who provide services to Emirates Flight Catering.
Government and regulatory authorities, including law enforcement agencies, where required or permitted by law.
Auditors (internal/external) as applicable.
Emirates Flight Catering’ Clients (where applicable) on the basis of contractual obligations.
Any other parties expressly or impliedly authorized by you for receiving such disclosures.

Your Privacy Rights:

You are entitled to exercise your privacy rights as per applicable Data Privacy Laws by sending an email to privacy@ekfc.ae. We will respond to your request within one month of receipt, providing you with the outcome of your request or requesting further information if necessary.

International Data Transfers:

For Non-EU/EEA/UK candidates: - If necessary, for the above stated purpose, the Personal Data listed above may be transferred to Emirates Flight Catering office located in UAE, to our auditors, to our clients (per applicability and contractual obligation). We have taken the necessary steps to ensure confidentiality and security of the transferred data.
For EU/EEA, UK candidates: - The Personal Data listed above may be transferred to countries located outside the mentioned jurisdiction, i.e., to Emirates Flight Catering office located in UAE, to our authorized vendor’s severs, to our auditors, to our clients (per applicability and contractual obligation). We have taken the necessary steps to ensure confidentiality and security of the transferred data. Data transfer will be based on your consent or contracts such as Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable (according to the applicable Data Privacy Laws).

Data Storage:

Your personal data will reside on Emirates Flight Catering Servers in UAE, our Client’s Servers (as applicable) and our vendors/ third party service providers’ servers (as applicable).

Data Security Measures:

Emirates Flight Catering adopts measures and practices aimed at protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data and incorporate appropriate security practices and procedures including administrative, physical security, and technical controls in order to safeguard your Personal Data.

Data Retention:

We may retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Notice, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. If we do not employ you, we may continue to retain and use your personal data for a period of time (which may vary depending on the country) for system administration purposes, to consider you for potential future roles, and to perform research. Thereafter, we retain a minimal amount of your personal data to record your recruiting activity with us.

Updates to this privacy notice:

This Privacy Notice may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our personal data practices or relevant laws. We will post a prominent notice on our website to notify you of any significant changes to our Privacy Notice and indicate at the top of the notice when it was most recently updated. We encourage you to review our Privacy Notice periodically.

Privacy Disclaimer:

You acknowledge that any personal information that you share about your dependents or other data subjects is shared by you only after seeking consent from the person to whom the personal data belongs. You also acknowledge that children’s personal data is not provided as we do not process any personal data belonging to children below the age of 16 years.

By agreeing, you consent to the storage of your personal data by Emirates Flight Catering for a period of 6 months for potential future opportunities, even if not initially shortlisted.

(By default, the data retention period would be 6 months. However, if your profile/contact detail is available on job portals you may still receive emails from us, even after your profile is deleted from our systems after 6 months. Also, allowing Emirates Flight Catering to retain your data for 6 months would mean allowing Emirates Flight Catering to contact you for future opportunities. If you want to opt out in future and do not want Emirates Flight Catering to contact you, please send an email to privacy@ekfc.ae. Emails sent to any other email address may not be considered for honoring opt-out request)
